The GRS360™ comes standard with an internal spring mechanism embedded internally to the tool and delivering a constant force of one (1) tonne directly to the telescopic mandrel and consequently the nose. It is operated by reciprocating the string which then telescopes the nose out and in in a combined 5 complete rotations or 1800 degrees.
The GRS360™ can also be modified for up to 10 revolutions of 3600 degrees in a complete cycle of reciprocating up/down. Further modifications include the ability to include float valves and also modify it to be drillable. In this variants and depending on the casing size-to-hole size-to required drill out bit diameter, a spring may not feasible.
